Phoenix (October 4) — Emily Anne Gullickson, CEO of the Arizona Chamber Foundation and Co-Founder and Executive Director of A for Arizona, announced that she will be leaving her position as CEO of the Arizona Chamber Foundation on October 11.

“I have been incredibly honored to lead the Arizona Chamber Foundation and am so proud of the work our talented team accomplished. From research on the Drought Contingency Plan to an in-depth look at the impact of the USMCA on Arizona with our largest trading partners Mexico and Canada, our work has made a significant impact,” she said. “I am grateful to have played a part in designing first-in-the-nation initiatives and in launching so many critical policy ideas that will continue to strengthen our state.”

Arizona Chamber Foundation Chairman Jessica Pacheco said of Emily Anne’s stewardship of the organization, “Under Emily Anne’s leadership, the Arizona Chamber Foundation worked on public policy issues that made our state a better place to live, work, study, and recreate. The Foundation will miss her leadership.”

Gullickson’s departure also marks the end of A for Arizona’s affiliation with the Arizona Chamber Foundation and Arizona Chamber of Commerce & Industry. While A for Arizona’s next chapter remains unwritten, the work will continue.

“For the past six years, A for Arizona has supported Arizona’s best schools and leaders as we invest in the lives and promise of low-income students. Our work together has grown and garnered significant state and national attention and has only begun to realize its potential,” Gullickson said. “I am extremely proud of Arizona’s innovative school leaders who are working every day to improve the lives of students throughout the state, and I am especially grateful to those who believed in and supported this work. A for Arizona’s mission to expand access to quality schools will live on.”

Arizona Chamber of Commerce & Industry CEO Glenn Hamer also issued his appreciation to Gullickson.

“The entire Chamber family deeply appreciates Emily Anne’s contributions during her tenure at the Foundation,” he said. “Her leadership of A for Arizona and her commitment to proving that all kids can succeed academically—even in the face of tough circumstances—has been and will continue to be essential to Arizona’s K-12 strategy. I can’t wait to see what she’ll do next.”
