The Arizona Chamber Foundation is developing the next generation of engaged and informed business leaders through a unique leadership program, the Arizona Industry Fellows. Arizona Industry Fellows is a non-partisan, educational program that explores how public policy impacts our economic landscape. The goal of this year-long program is to immerse Fellows in the industries that drive economic opportunity in Arizona. In addition, we offer fellows an international experience through our session dedicated to cross-border trade, an integral part of Arizona’s economy. Our program is comprised of nine full-day sessions on topics such as:
- Health Care
- Education & Workforce Development
- Manufacturing
- Policy in Action
- Technology & Innovation
- Tax Climate
- Energy, Water, Land & Natural Resources
- Arizona/Mexico Border
- Economic Growth & Business Attraction
- Public Private Partnerships
Millennials will be half of the U.S. workforce within five years and 75 percent within a decade. Fellows are young up-and-coming business leaders who represent a broad array of industries and backgrounds. This fellowship uniquely highlights the impact of public policy on Arizona’s job creators and creates a network of ambitious and informed young people with the energy and interest to gain a better understanding of how public policy impacts the economic landscape.
The Arizona Industry Fellows provided me the opportunity to hear from our state’s foremost industry leaders and tour major economic sites. It has been a once in a life time experience. The program gives individuals a front row seat to understand how policy is used to tackle major challenges across different industries and how those same policies impact Arizona’s economic landscape.
