Nick once spent the night in one of Japan’s oldest Buddhist Temples.
Nick Serpa is a Multimedia Journalist for Chamber Business News in Phoenix, where he started as an intern in May 2018 before eventually reporting full-time. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Journalism from ASU’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism & Mass Communication and has a passion for telling human-centric, visually rich stories.
Nick’s journalism has been published by a variety of news organizations including Cronkite News, The Arizona Republic and Arizona PBS. In early 2019, the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism nominated one of Nick’s stories on water catchments for a Hearst Award in Multimedia Journalism. Before becoming a reporter, Nick worked in television production and interned with major corporations such as Starbucks.
An Arizona native, Nick has a passion for seeking out the state’s many unique people and sharing their stories. His favorite topics to cover are arts & culture, business development and education. In his free time he enjoys hiking, photography and only the spiciest Mexican food.
